In my 15 years of entrepreneurial experience of running businesses and advising startups, I have learnt that every rapidly growing SME needs tools to drive efficiency & productivity as part of their startup toolbox. Thankfully, there is a vast variety of free online tools developed to help streamline business processes. By effectively using these tools, more can be achieved at a fraction of the cost. Below are 3 which I highly recommend for any startup:

XTENSIO

Xtensio is a super easy platform to create, manage and share visual documents and presentations. With drag-and-drop and inline editing features, Xtensio is a flexible and responsive page builder. You can edit modules, resize elements, change backgrounds; add images, videos, tables, or interactive modules. In case you find the process a bit overwhelming, they have excellent “How To” guides to help you through it.

I personally have been using Xtensio to create usability test reports, personas, media kits and pitch decks and highly recommend The Lean Canvas and Persona Creator as a must have for your startup toolbox.

HUBSPOT CRM

HubSpot CRM is everything you need to organize, track, and nurture your leads and customers. It automates tasks for salespeople, tracks interactions automatically and displays deals on one dashboard for complete visibility. You can enjoy up to 1,000,000 contacts, users, and storage without any expiration date.

I have been using HubSpot CRM in my businesses for the last couple of years and have recently been trying my hands on HubSpot Growth Stack. Next week I will be posting a review of this tool so ensure you subscribe to my newsletter for latest updates.

HOOTSUITE

Save time by managing all your social media marketing efforts from a single dashboard. With Hootsuite’s platform, you get the tools to manage all your social profiles and automatically find and schedule effective social content.

I have tried other social media management tools, but Hootsuite is my favorite.

I am certain there are other tools that are as effective as the ones listed above; do let me know what tools you are using and help me add to this list.
